Saturday Tsunamis Meet Info...
Hello Tsunamis!
Can you believe our first home meet of the season is this Saturday?! We are all so excited!! Check-in for the meet begins at 7:00AM, all swimmers MUST be checked in by 7:45AM. If your child has not checked in by 7:50AM they will be SCRATCHED from any relay! Please remember to be on time and check in with Coach TAYLOR as soon as you arrive!
Make sure you purchase a HEAT SHEET at the front entrance desk. Heat Sheets are $3 each.
We will be starting warmups at 7:15AM for all 10+U; 11+U warmups will begin at 7:25. These warm-ups are optional, however we encourage all swimmers to partake in warm-ups to practice a few starts and get their heart rate up before the meet begins!
We will have a VOLUNTEER Meeting at 8:00AM near the ready bench.
The meet will begin at 8:15AM, and should end around 12:00PM, tentatively.
A few important things to remember:
-Food and drinks (there will be concessions as well)
-Chairs and tents for shade (Please only set up tents in the grass and make sure they are SECURE!)
-Sunscreen
-Something fun to do while waiting in between events (cards, games, books)
It is important for swimmers to get a good night's sleep before the meet, it can be a tiring day and we don't want the swimmers to be burnt out before they begin! If you are going to be leaving a meet early, please DO NOT leave without notifying Coach Taylor, you may be leaving before your last event or you may be needed for a relay. Also, have your children come talk to the coaches after their races, we love to tell them how great they swam and how to swim even better in their next race!
