Robin Milstead Head Swim Coach

Hello Tsunami families! I’m proud to serve as the Head Swim Coach of our College Station Tsunami Swim Team. Swimming has been a meaningful part of my life for 25+ years, and I genuinely love helping swimmers grow—not just as athletes, but as confident, disciplined, motivated individuals.

I began my swim career in summer league growing up in Cypress, TX and loved the long standing memories and friendships forged. I was a club swimmer for 7 years with Fleet (Cypress Fairbanks Swim Club), swam on my high school team and eventually had the opportunity to swim at the college level. In addition, I played club and high school water polo. I have experience building swim programs, including stroke and turn, and previously was Head Swim Coach for a Cypress area swim team. Also, I am a NWAL swim official.

These days, I wear the hat of "swim mom". Many of you know my daughter who is going on her 4th year of Tsunami swimming. My daughter is a club swimmer and water polo player with Fleet.

When I am not at a pool, I am an international executive recruiter in tax and tax law.

My coaching style is energetic, positive, and focused on strong fundamentals. I believe swimmers perform their best when they feel supported, challenged, and excited to come to practice each day. Our team of coaches and I will work to create an environment where effort is valued, progress is celebrated, and athletes are encouraged to push themselves while enjoying swimming.

The sport of swimming is always changing, and I’m committed to staying current while keeping training engaging, intentional, and athlete-centered. Above all, my goal is to foster a fun, inclusive, and high-energy environment where every athlete leaves the pool knowing they are capable of more than they thought—and excited to come back the next day.

I am thrilled to meet all of you and have our best summer yet! If you have any questions about the team, our evaluation process or you are new to the sport and need guidance, please reach out!

See you all April 15th, 2026 at 6pm for the Parent Kick-off Meeting at Adamson Lagoon!

Go Tsunamis!

David Sahm Swim Coach

Howdy, My name is David Sahm and this is my 2nd year coaching for the Tsunamis and 3rd year instructing lessons for the COCS. I was fortunate to find this opportunity after having a career in training and planning roles serving in the Marines, working at TAMU, TEEX, in the oil and gas industry and the City of College Station.

My swimming career began in my youth in age group competition, into high school and into college at Texas A&M University. I graduated in 1982 and was a team member of Coach Jay Holmes.

About ten years ago, I returned to swimming in the masters and senior games program. Mostly I swim for fitness with maybe a meet or two a year.

My wife, Janice and I are enjoying our 43rd year of marriage. We have three daughters, 2 sons-in-law, 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. We enjoy many activities together including gardening, birdwatching, camping, fly fishing, traveling and spoiling our grandchildren.
