Stroke & Turn Officials
Tsunami Parents,
We are approaching the start of the Tsunami season, and hope you are all getting excited about swimming again this summer. As you know in order to have a successful summer season, we NEED you to help run our meets. Specifically we must provide stroke & turn officials at our meets. There are some great benefits that come with being a stroke & turn official:
- You get free training from NWAL!
- You get to wear Wimbledon-chic all white at the meets
- You get the best view of the pool and all the swimmers (especially your own kiddos)
- If you officiate in at least three meets over the course of the season, the city will refund 50% of your swimmers Tsunami Registration fee.
- If you officiate more 4 or more meets, the city will refund 100% of your swimmers Tsunami Registration fee!!
There are several stroke & turn training session scheduled through NWAL, there is one in Brenham, April 16, 2016. To sign up for the training and get certified (which is required before you can serve as a Stroke & Turn official, and get all the benefits list above), you must login to www.nwalcertified.org, and sign up for a training course. We cannot have meets without stroke & turn officials!!
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Melissa Daigneault at 979-587-0136, or [email protected]. I'll be working with Coach Taylor and the other coaches this summer to help handle administrative side of the team.
Thanks,
Melissa S. Daigneault
P.S. The first parent information meeting for the 2016 will be tomorrow night at the Southwood community center at Brian Bachman Park off of Rock Prairie!
P.P.S. if you no longer want to receive Tsunami emails, pleas log in to the Collegestation.swim-team.us website, and adjust your settings!
