    Divisionals & Invitationals Update

Our division rep emailed today with some updated information for Divisionals this Saturday, June 18th:

    • Meet is Saturday AM at the Navasota City Pool, and our warm-ups will be from 7:20 - 7:40
    • The meet will start at 8:30 am, and will probably last until between 2 pm and 3 pm
    • Meet will be merged at 6 pm on Wednesday, which means all Divisionals individual entries MUST be in by 10 AM on Wednesday, so that the coaches and I can put the relays together and get the entries in.
    • Divisional entries MUST BE IN by 10 AM wednesday, June 15th.
    • Each team can only enter 1 relay for each of the relay events, so only 4 swimmers in each age group will be in each relay, though some age groups may have different swimmers in the Medley relay than in the free relay.
    • If you have any issues or trouble with Divisional entires, you must email Melissa or Coach Taylor before 10AM on Wednesday, June 15.  We are very happy to help, but after 10 AM it is out of our hands.
    • VOLUNTEER UPDATES:
      • We need 25 volunteers for the whole meet, that should be no problem for our team.
      • We only need 5 timers for each session, we currently have 6 signed up for 1st session, and we still need 9 more for our other two sessions.  If you are in session 1, and can possibly switch to session 2 or 3, that would be great.
        • Once our timer spots are full, I will send lane assignments to you all, as we have assigned lanes for the meet.
      • We are responsible for helping at the ready bench throughout the meet.  Navasota will be running the ready bench, and we are just helping, but we do need people to round out those spots.
      • We are not needed in a couple of 1st session spots, so I have removed and/or moved a couple of you who had signed up for first session.
    • Individual entries for Divisionals MUST BE IN BY 10AM on Wednesday, June 15th. :)

    Next up Invitational Updates:

    • Just a reminder which I did not include in my last email, each individual invitational entry costs $5 (same fee for Ponderosa or Trinity).
      • I anticipate payment being made online via Rectrac, details to follow.
      • If you entered Pentathlon & paid via rectrac and were charged $35, I am working with Vera on this to correct it and/or give you a credit for invitationals.
      • All payments must be made prior to the invitationals, or swimmers will be scratched and unable to swim.
    • Trinity is still split over two days, with all 10&U events on Saturday, and all 11&Up events on Sunday; however, I have updated the calendar so all entries are on one meet "Trinity Invitational."  Everyone who entered today has had their entries updated.
    • Swim-team.us is not currently recognizing the 3-event bonus rule for Trinity, but I am working with the Trinity meet directors on this, and we will get it sorted.
    • I have updated the Invitational qualifier lists and they are pinned on the homepage under links.
    • Just to remind you, swimmers can still qualify for one or both of these meets this weekend at Divisionals, which is another 25 Yard pool.  If your swimmer(s) achieve new qualifications this weekend, be sure you update their entries IMMEDIATELY (either online, or by emailing me) Saturday NIGHT.

We are only 3 states away, and should get to sleep in our own beds tomorrow . . . but contact me if you have any questions, or reach out to any of the coaches.  See you all soon!
