NWAL Training This Saturday
Howdy Tsunami Parents!
Hope your spring is going well, and you are looking forward to this summer league season. I'm excited about this summer, our coaching staff, and all the swimmers already signed up for the summer. Please keep telling your friends and neighbors about summer league swimming and how much fun it is, let's keep growing our team and the great momentum we had from last year. If you didn't make the parent meeting, last Thursday, there will be two more on the coming thrusdays at 6 pm at the community center at Brian Bachman Park--you can also pick up your kids shirts and team suits for the season (which are included in your registration fee this year).
Thank you to all the parents who are signed up for the NWAL official training this Saturday. I'm excited to know we will have a strong cadry of parents for officiating, and be able to spread that workload out. If you are still interested in becoming an official, it is not too late to sign up for the stroke & turn class this weekend in College STation. The lecture portion is at the community center at the Brian Bachman park on Rock Prairie, starting at 8 am. There will be a short break around 9:45, and then a pool session at the AMCMS on Rock Prairie, and end no later than noon. Even if you do not have experience the lecture and pool session will walk you through all you need to know to work as an NWAL official. Bonus, if you officiate for at least 4 sessions--over 4 separate meets, then you can have 50% of one of your swimmer's Tsunami fee for the summer refunded at the end of the season.
If you cannot make the class this weekend, but are still interested, you can look at the full schedule on www.nwalcertified.org. If you are planning to attend this Saturday, and you haven't signed up on nwalcertified.org, you do need to do that, ASAP.
Thanks,
Melissa
