Howdy Tsunami Swim Team Parents!

 

Brenham Meet:

Tomorrow is our first official swim meet against the Brenham Dolphins! With this being our first official meet there will be a few differences in this week and last week's Time Trial Meet. This week our swimmers will participate in relays, score points, and be awarded ribbons!! Below are things to keep in mind about our meet:

• All swimmers must be checked in with a coach by 8:15 am or risk being scratched from relays.
• Because we are the away team, we will be starting warm up at 7:45. Please arrive at the pool by 7:30 so that all of our swimmers are changed with their caps and goggles on ready to warm up by 7:45! The meet will start at 8:30.
• Brenham is an indoor pool so there is no need for sunscreen, but please remember to bring lots of snacks and water for yourselves and your swimmers!
• With this meet being a real meet, we do not expect to be at the pool as long as our Time Trial Meet. It is perfectly okay for swimmers to leave after their events are finished, but please keep in mind that our freestyle relays are the last 10 events of the meet. If you are wondering if your swimmer is in a freestyle relay please check beforehand or ask one of our coaches to make sure that you are free to go!
• We will be combining events 4&6, 7&8, 15&16, 29&30, 39&40, 47&49, 59&60, 68&69, and 77&78 in order to save time! The ready bench will be able to help your swimmers find their places before each of their races, but please remind your swimmers that their events may be combined and to listen to which events are being called!
• Before and after every race, our swimmers should check in with one of our coaches to talk about their upcoming race, or to discuss what we did well and what we can work on for our next race!

We are so excited to get our first official meet underway! We will see you tomorrow morning at 7:30 in Brenham!
