Howdy Tsunami Swim Team parents!

 

Sunday, June 11th The Cutten Creen Current Swim Team will be hosting the annual pentathlon! This is a totally optional meet for some of our more competitive swimmers. There are times in which swimmers must qualify to be able to participate. Those times can be found in the pdf linked below. This is an opportunity for some of our swimmers to swim five events, including all four strokes and the 100 IM. These events are run very quickly, meaning there will not be a lot of time for rest between events. Your swimmer must feel comfortable swimming on short amounts of rest, as well as swimming all four strokes (twice!). The pentathlon will be held at Klein Collins High School 20911 Ella Bouldvard Spring, Texas 77388. Morning session warm-ups will begin at 7:00 AM with the meet starting at 8:30.

Entries for this meet will take place through RecTrac and will be due on Sunday June 4th. Because this is an extra meet added to our regular season, there will be extra entry fees per race. Every event will cost $5, and with every swimmer swimmng all 5 events, entries will add up to $25. With our regular season and meet against Lee County taking place on the 10th, we will only be able to send one coach to this meet the next day. 

Please let us know if you are interested in participating in the pentathlon! It can be a valuble experience for swimmers to learn to race when they are fatigued (not only by the pentathlon itself, but from our regular season and meet against Lee County the previous day.)
