    Divisionals

    Dear Tsunami Parents and Swimmers,

This coming Saturday is Divisionals. That means we will be going up against every team we have competed against this year, all at once. That includes Bryan, who we just barely beat, and Huntsville, who beat us. However, we still stand a chance to win and be at every team at Divisionals. In fact, even though Huntsville beat us, Bryan beat them in their dual meet, which shows that if we beat Bryan, we can beat Huntsville.

Now, this is my 4th year as a coach for the Tsunamis. In the past 3 years, we have lost at Divisionals by an ever-growing margin each year, and I know it has been demoralizing to both the team and the coaches. I hear stories all the time of what the team used to be, and how we were undefeated. This year, however, we are over 200 swimmers strong. We have the ability and the strength to beat all the other teams in our division and win 1st place. To do this, we need to give our all during practice this week and show up strong and ready on Saturday to swim our hardest. We already beat Bryan, our biggest rivals, for the first time in 5 years, so let's take that same energy into practice this week as we get ready. Everything comes down to this meet this Saturday. Let's do this, Tsunamis!

P.S. if we win 1st place at Divisionals, you guys can throw me in the pool.
