Tsunami Update: Practice Cancelled TONIGHT! Saturday Meet Info

    Hello families,

The weather is giving us a run for our money at the start of our season! With that, practice is cancelled tonight (4/30). The forecast looks to be in our favor starting next week and we will begin our normal pre-season practice schedule.

Our Saturday, May 2nd Time Trials is still ON! Please register your swimmers asap. If you are having issues registering you more than likely have not activated your account. I can resend you activation instructions. Please email me ([email protected]) or text/call me 713-679-9610. Register your swimmer in as many events they are eligible for in Swimtopia. DQs will not count at time trials.

How to Plan for the Time Trials Meet:

-Doors will open at 7am for families to set up tents and chairs. You will set up near the baby pool, on the left side of the pool under the awning. Ensure you have shade!

-Warm-up will begin at 7:30am. All swimmers need to be in the water at 7:30 for warm ups.

-When you arrive, we will have volunteers at our check-in table. You must check in early. We will be writing the event numbers on your swimmers arm to help you guide them. Your Swimtopia app will also show their event numbers.

-All swimmers need googles, cap, racing suit, water, towel, water, healthy snacks. Please do not bring candy for your kiddos at a meet.

-We will have our Volunteer Coordinator and our Parent Liaison who will be helping our newer families on volunteering and the flow of the meet.

-The meet will officially start at 8:30am and we anticipate it finishing before 12pm.

-At the meet, our Head Referee is in charge of the meet. All officials will be wearing a white shirt and navy bottoms. Please respect our officials. No parents are allowed near the pool when swimming. Our more seasoned parents will be able to show you how you can best view and cheer on your swimmer.

-If you are timing, you are not allowed to film or take pictures of any kind behind the blocks of swimmers. This is an NWAL rule and you can be removed from the meet for doing this.

-Swimmers will check in with their coaches before their swims and after. Since this is the first meet, our coaching team will be very hands on to help.

Registration for the remainder of our summer meets will open Monday.

We are incredibly grateful to all of our families and swimmers! It's going to be a great summer! See you Saturday!

    Coach Robin
