Hello everyone! 

Sorry for all of the emails, but we might have issues with the weather tomorrow! Here is what Huntsville sent out to all of the teams! 

Weather delay:

Purple Division is different from all other NWAL divisions, in that most teams are the next neighborhood over. We are the next county over…. In my opinion, rescheduling for us isn’t an option – we may rain-delay, but we’ll try our best to finish the meet.

As of Friday @ noon, Huntsville is predicted to have scattered storms, but mostly in the afternoon…..

From the NWAL rulebook:

• IV. E. “Swimming competition shall be suspended immediately when thunder is heard, or lightning is visible.
  • The meet shall be suspended until 15 minutes after the last thunder was heard or the last lightning was sighted. Note that local facility rules and/or pool management rules regarding thunderstorm suspension, should they exist, take precedence over NWAL rules.
  • When a meet is suspended because of lightning and/or thunder, the pool area shall be cleared immediately of all participants, officials, and spectators.
  • When a meet in progress is suspended, the Meet Referee and both Team Representatives shall meet prior to leaving the facilities to determine what course of action to pursue.
  • Delayed meet postponed: A meet suspended for 2 hours in the aggregate shall be considered postponed unless both Team Representatives agree otherwise.
  • Rescheduling (by mutual agreement): Divisional meets shall be rescheduled and completed through event 86.

Also, for invitationals I said that the due date for entries was today at noon. If your swimmer qualifies for an event tomorrow, they can still enter for that event! I have to have all of the paperwork for invitationals done by Monday @12pm. I will be closing athlete entries Sunday morning at 11:00am so I have time to get all paperwork done!
