Practices

We will continue to practice through July 24th. We do still have 1 more local meet as well (more about that later). The water is warm; please send your swimmers with water to keep by the pool. 

Reminder: Please DO NOT show up early for the evening practice to play in the pool UNLESS you have paid for your entry. 

Reminder: Swimmers should only attend ONE practice per day. NOT Two. Especially now that we are focused on our Championship Meets and the water is SO hot! Only 1 practice per day. 

Upcoming Practice Days Off

July 1st - NO Morning Practice due to an event here at the pool. Evening practice will be as usual. 

July 4th - NO Evening Practice. Independence Day Holiday.

July 5th - NO Morning Practice. Independence Day Holiday. 

Last Day of Practice will be July 24th. 

Region 5 TAAF Swim Meet

The Region 5 TAAF Swim Meet will be July 13th at the Bryan Aquatic Center. Entries are due no later than July 3rd at NOON! Please get those entries submitted on our website.

If you have any questions after reviewing the Rule Book (It's different from our NWAL Rule Book regarding entry limits) please let me know. 

If the change in Age Up date affects your swimmer please email me. Age Up for NWAL is May 1st, Age Up for TAAF is JUNE 1st. So if your swimmer was born during the month of May AND it affects their age group please email me. If it means they will not age up from one competition group to another you do not need to email me. 

For example: if they turn 9 during the month of May they will no longer be in the 8 & Under Age group - they will be in the 9-10 age group for this meet. 

TAAF State Games of Texas

The State Games of Texas will be held in Brownsville, TX July 25th-28th. Swimmers may qualify for the SGOT at the Region 5 Swim Meet. Swimmers 15 & Older do not have to qualify at the Region 5 Swim Meet. ALL SWIMMERS MUST LET ME KNOW IF THEY INTEND TO SWIM AT THE SGOT MEET. Regardless of if swimmers qualify or not I will need to declare the swimmer's availability for the State Meet AT the Region Meet. We do not get any time to make those decisions. I must tell them the day of the meet. 

Please use the RSVP form on our website to RSVP ONLY FOR YOUR SWIMMER for the SGOT Meet.  

The TAAF Meets do operate very differently from the NWAL meets. I would encourage you to read over all the resources found online.

End of Season Awards Banquet / Pool Party

Our End of Season Banquet will be July 19th here at Adamson Lagoon! I will be opening up Volunteer jobs to bring snacks, sweets, sides & hydration soon. Otherwise, just make sure it's on your calendar!
