Tsunami Updates 6/10/24 (PLEASE READ)
Howdy Tsunami Families!
Sorry about the extra email today, this is the FULL weekly update. Please read the entire email.
Divisional Swim Meet
**June 15th at Bryan Aquatic Center**
In order to qualify for the Divisional Swim Meet swimmers must have participated in at least TWO Dual Meets AND have achieved a LEGAL time in any event they would like to swim. This INCLUDES relays; swimmers cannot swim a leg of a relay they do not have a legal time in. Time Trial times do not count.
Please get those entries completed ASAP. They are due Thursday by NOON! We will NOT be given grace for any late entries this week. I MUST be ready to Merge the meet by 5pm on Thursday, no exceptions.
Divisional Swim Meet Volunteer Jobs are OPEN. I may add more jobs as needs arise, but the bulk of them are loaded into the system. The meet announcement for the Divisional Meet is attached.
I will also be sending a couple of email reminders to the Qualifiers this week.
Divisional Pep Rally
Anyone attending practice on Friday will get to participate in our Divisional Swim Meet Pep Rally Practice! There is a sign up on our website for parents to provide refreshments. Swimmers will be able to work on posters to have in our team area on Saturday, supporting & encouraging our Swimmers! Each Pep Rally is held during regular practice times, swimmers will be able to stay a bit at the end to grab food or work on a poster as well.

I've been told they will mail us our awards. I am not sure exactly when to expect those but I will make sure they get into the Family Boxes when they arrive.
Practice
The water is warm, the weather is HOT, please send your swimmers with a water bottle to keep at the edge of the pool during practice.
We will continue to practice until July 24th. Just because the NWAL season is over doesn't mean we stop...
TAAF Season
TAAF Season begins immediately after the NWAL Season ends. Practice schedule remains the same, you will not have to change anything. I will send a reminder to submit entries for the Region 5 TAAF Swim Meet once those are loaded into the system. For now, just keep coming to practice.
This meet will feel very similar to our NWAL meets, the biggest difference is that adult swimmers are allowed to participate.
We are rolling into the half way point of our Tsunami Swim Season. We've been in the water for 6 weeks now & I have seen so much improvement from our swimmers!
Looking forward to what the rest of the season brings!
If you have any questions please ask!
See you at the pool!
Coach Michelle
