Howdy Tsunami Families!

This is your first of probably a few Weather Updates for 5/16.

We do appear to have a large system of rain moving over our area right now. You should use your best judgement before deciding to come to practice. This is true for most days & situations. Remember, practice is not mandatory, we do not have negative consequences for not being in attendance. 

That being said, here are are usual procedures for inclement weather.

We use a Lightning Alert System for all City of College Station Parks. The link can be found on our website as well as below. Our location is at Bee Creek Park. According to this we are still out of the water for at least another 30 minutes. This system will reset as often as is necessary.

In addition to the system above the Lifeguards cannot have seen lightning or heard thunder for 30 minutes for us to be able to have practice AND they must be able to see the bottom of the pool for swimmers to be able to enter the water. 

I will begin sending emails regarding practice cancellations as we get closer to each group. If you've lived in this area for long you know that the weather can be VERY unpredictable. 

As it is, it does not look like we will start on time for the 4:30pm practice, if we are able to start at all.
