Tsunami Updates 5/13/24
Howdy Tsunami Families!
Bryan Meet Results
Bryan outscored the Tsunamis 751 to 618 but we still had some amazing swims! Here are our High Point Swimmers (swimmers with 15 or more individual points during the meet).
21 Points: Mac O'Donnell & Cameron Reeves
19 Points: Moira Hopkins, Addison Hutchins & Ty Lingo
16 Points: Emily Huchingson, Henry Kohnert, Mason Kutzenberger, Emilian Landrock & Will Peacock
15 Points: Kaegan Kutzenberger & Milana Landrock
Great job swimmers!
I do not have the awards from Bryan yet, but when I get those they will be placed in the family boxes in the file for your family.
Brenham Meet Saturday May 18th
The Dual Meet against Brenham is HERE at Adamson this coming weekend! Please have your entries completed by 5/16 at noon.
Team Picture Day Friday May 17th
We will be having team pictures as well as the opportunity for individual pictures here at Adamson THIS Friday! Please pick up an order form when you bring your swimmer to practice. Memoir Photography will be taking our photos.
Team Gear & Equipment
I've had LOTS of parents ask about Tsunami shirts for themselves and other family members! We have a Team Store set up where you can place your orders.
https://tsunamiswimteamonlinestoresummer2024.itemorder.com/
Get those orders placed ASAP. The sooner we close the store the sooner everyone gets their shirts!
All swimmers will swim better with the proper equipment. We do have a goggle box where swimmers can borrow goggles, but good goggles make it easier to be a better swimmer. By far, the most popular goggle out there right now is the Speedo Vanquisher. They come in youth and adult sizes as well as about 50 different colors. Also, swimmers with longer hair will be more successful with a cap on. Hair ties just don't hold the hair back enough. Tsunami issue caps are latex, but the silicone caps are much easier on the hair/head.
You can find both Silicone Caps and Speedo Vanquisher Goggles either via the team store or going to Swim Outlet directly: https://invite.swimoutlet.com/x/OuZELM
You can also find great "grab bag" suits on Swimoutlet for a great price if your swimmer needs something to practice in.
Practice / Swim Meet Expectations
Parents, please remember that parents will sit at one of the tables or in the lawn chairs off to the side & NOT stand or sit behind the coaches while they are coaching practice.
At swim meets, swimmers need to check in with the Coaches at least after each swim. Swimmers also need to check out with the Coaches before they leave. Sometimes we have people that need to leave or may not be able to swim & will be looking for a relay sub. It's very helpful for us to know who is actually there to be able to do this.
New Swimmers
We've had a few new swimmers show up on our roster over the past week as well. Please email me to schedule your swimmer evaluation. I will also send you a practice selection form.
As always, if you have any questions let me know!
Coach Michelle
