Howdy Tsunami Families! 

Wow! We got through SO many evaluations and Time Trials this week! Thank you all for coming out & getting it done in spite of a pretty chilly pool! Here are just a few updates as we head into our first week of practice!

What if my swimmer missed or was not successful (YET) evaluations? 

You can schedule an individual evaluation by emailing me. Late evaluations must be done during practice and we will have to reserve a lane for the swimmer to have their evaluations and potentially Time Trials completed. 

Please remember. NO SWIMMER can swim until they have been evaluated and NO SWIMMER can swim in a meet unless they have completed a Time Trial in the event they are planning to swim.

Official Certification

We NEED Officials. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider helping in this area. We had LOTS of parents express an interest in helping in this category during Evaluations. Here is the information you will need for that, but get yourself signed up tonight so you can be sure to be in the class this weekend!

Sign up (you will need to create an account) at www.nwalcertified.com to help with Computers, Clerk of Course (these classes are online) or Stroke & Turn Official (this class is in person, but we are hosting one at our pool 4/27).

You can go to www.NWAL.org to review the Rule Book which has all official descriptions. Or you can reach out to me & I will tell you ALL the things about these volunteer positions.

Swimtopia App

If you have not done so yet please download the Swimtopia App. You will log in using the same credentials you log into our website. You can use the app to sign up for swim meets & so much more! It will even take you to the main page if you need something more in depth than the app provides.

Time Trial Swim Meet

Entries for the Time Trial Meet are OPEN as well. Please RSVP your swimmer as ATTENDING and select their events if they will be at that meet on May 4th. You will also RSVP for that on the website at https://collegestation.swimtopia.com/swim_meets

Please be sure to select ALL events your swimmer is willing to swim that day. It does not matter if they will not be legal, they just need to get a time for ANY event they may want to swim at a meet during the season. NWAL does not allow swimmers to compete with a "NT" or no time. Reminder, you can select all the events for your swimmer & if they decide they don't want to try an event or if you need to leave early you can just let us know. It's really best if we can get as many times as possible completed at this meet. 

Volunteer Jobs are also open for this meet so please select a place where you feel comfortable helping out with our meet that day.

If you will be out of town on May 4th your swimmer will need to get their Time Trial times during their evaluation. Please be sure to let the person checking you in during evaluations know that your swimmer will need to get their Time Trial times.

Team Photos

You can RSVP for Individual and Team Photos on our website at https://collegestation.swimtopia.com/swim_meets. Memoir Photography will be at the pool to take these photos.

Please be sure to visit the JOBS portion of that page to let us know what time you plan to attend Team Photos.

I will be sending the links for practice selection to the age groups again as I know we have some new families since it was last sent. Please be on the lookout for that & get those practice selections completed as well.
