Howdy Tsunami Families! 

We hope your swimmers are ready to GO! We are excited to see you all!

This week we will be having our Meet the Coaches / Evaluations all week. Regular practice starts next week. Here are some reminders & additional information for you.

What happens at Meet the Coaches / Evaluations?

* Swimmers will have the opportunity to meet some (if not all) of the Coaching staff for this season. 

* Swimmers will have the opportunity to swim, at least a little bit. All swimmers will complete 25M / 50M (depending on their age & ability). This helps us ensure all swimmers are able to complete 25M completely unassisted. This is a requirement to be on the team. It also helps us section the swimmers into appropriate training groups for practice before the first practice. 

* Swimmers will also have the opportunity to complete their Time Trial times if they will not be able to attend the Time Trial meet on May the 4th. Please let the person checking you in know they will be ABSENT for the May the 4th meet if this is the case. 

* Swimmers will have the opportunity to use the suit sizing kit. This needs to be done BEFORE the swimmer completes the swim portion of their evaluation. Our Team Store is up & running on our website. So get those suits ordered if you need them. There is also a sizing guide on the website to order, so you can use a tape measure to get the proper suit size as well. 

* Swimmers will have the opportunity to pick up their shirt & cap (if they want one). 

* Parents will have the opportunity to ask questions about swim team & the season ahead. 

Water Conditions

This is always a question this time of year. Today the water temp is 70 degrees. This IS a cold, but legal temp for swimmers. With the sun & air temps being in the low 70s we are within allowable temperatures. BUT... If you feel this is too cool for your swimmer please feel free to change your sign up using the SignupGenius.

Have you signed up for Swim Team? If not that's OK. Just remember that you cannot pick up your swimmer's shirt/cap until you have registered for Tsunamis. There will be someone on site all week to help with registration during Meet the Coaches / Evaluations as well. 

Lastly, I've noticed that some are putting the shirt sizes down as just S, M or L. We have shirts in both Adult and Youth sizes. Please be patient with those helping with the shirts as they try to get those ready for your swimmers as they leave. Also, if you make last minute changes to your sign ups I will not get to those until after I get off the deck tonight.
