Just a few reminders...

Brenham Swim Meet

Please get those entries completed for the Brenham Meet this weekend IN Brenham. Your best bet is to have those entries completed by 11:59pm TONIGHT. I do not close the entries until I can get to my computer on Thursday but please don't put it off, just get those entries done! The meet merge is done no later than 6pm on Thursday. 

Here is some information regarding the meet from Brenham: 

Pools address: 1800 E Tom Green St, Brenham, TX

6:45 am The pool opens for canopy set up.

7:15-7:45 am Brenham warm-ups

7:45-8:15 am College Station warm-ups

(8:00 am timers meeting in the hallway near the locker rooms)

(8:15 am officials meeting on deck; awards, computer, ready bench please check in)

(NOTE: awards shifts are 1st shift: events 15-50 and 2nd shift: events 51-end of meet)

8:30 am Meet starts

Please bring canopies, blankets, chairs, snacks, water, sunscreen, Sharpie, etc to set up outside on the SE side of the aquatic center. We will have concessions while supplies last, but I don’t know what will be on the limited menu (usually breakfast tacos & water). Clarita’s Sweets should arrive around 10am.

Please know that the Leisure Pool will be opening @ 10am. We’ll have to keep an extra eye open to make sure our swimmers stay on the competition side. Also, we will have the ready bench outside with canopy setup (instead of inside like previous years).

We still have volunteer jobs to be filled for the Brenham Meet as well. Be sure to check those & get signed up!

Future Swim Meets

We only have 2 Dual meets left for this NWAL Season! Brenham this weekend and Lee County (home) next weekend! In order to qualify for the Divisional Swim Meet swimmers must have a legal time from a Dual meet in any event they would like to swim (including that leg of a relay) AND they must have 2 "splashes" (they have participated in 2 dual meets). Time Trial times DO NOT count towards Divisional qualification. 

Invitational meets are open as well. We are checking for interest on Pentathlon, if we do not get enough swimmer interest we will not be able to send a team. Trinity and Ponderosa are also open for entries. 

Master's Swim

Our Master's Swim Practice starts Monday June 5th at 6:30am. You can sign up for this on the College Station Parks Website: https://rectrac.cstx.gov/wbwsc/webtrac.wsc/search....

This group will practice 6:30am to 8am M, W, F at Adamson Lagoon! Come find out how hard your kids are actually working! You can also participate in the TAAF Swim Meet! 

TAAF Swimming

After the NWAL Season we roll right into our TAAF Season. The Region 5 TAAF Swim Meet will be held July 8th at the Bryan Aquatic Center and all of our swimmers are eligible to participate. 

The State TAAF Meet will be held in Brownsville TX this year July 27-30. We are trying to estimate interest for those traveling to this meet. IF you are interested in traveling to the State TAAF Swim Meet in Brownsville please use the RSVP form on our schedule to indicate this so we can get an idea of who is interested in going. 

It's hard to believe we are already 1 month into our swim season! We are ready to make the most of the next couple of months!
