    Tsunami Updates 5/22/23

    Howdy Tsunami Families!

As usual, lots of information for a Monday. Please read this whole email...

    Huntsville Swim Meet

Way to SWIM Tsunamis! Tsunamis won the meet with 676 points!

Our High Point Swimmers each with 21 points were:

    Garett Gammill

    Mason Kutzenberger

    Jorja Spahr

Additional swimmers scoring 15 or more points were:

Evelyn Harvick, Emily Huchingson, Katelyn Albert, Katie Harris, Milana Landrock, Eva Diyasheva, & Will Peacock

    Ribbons

We DO have ribbons on order. They have not arrived yet. I am trying to make sure our visiting teams get their ribbons to go home with at the end of the meet. I will get our swimmers ribbons completed as soon as our order arrives and into their boxes. Thank you for your patience on this as our ribbon orders are taking more time than they have in the past.

    Team Picture Day

Our Team Picture Day is THIS Friday at 4:30pm. We will try to do the Team Picture about 5:15pm. Pictures will be here at Adamson Lagoon. Be sure to wear your team shirt! If you haven't received your team shirt yet email me with your swimmer's shirt size.

    Navasota Swim Meet

Our swim meet against Navasota is THIS Saturday here at Adamson Lagoon. Please get those entries completed no later than Wednesday at 11:59pm. I do not close entries until I get to the office on Thursday but I MUST be able to close entries & run relays in time to be able to notify those swim families and make adjustments as needed before I merge the meet with the other team at 6pm. Any entries completed after I have closed entries cannot be guaranteed a relay.

Please be sure to select your volunteer jobs when you complete your swimmers entries too!

    Practice

Goggles & Caps (or at least hair ties for the girls). Swimming with the distraction of no goggles or hair all over the face affects the entire lane. Please be sure your swimmer comes to practice with appropriate items to keep their hair out of their face and goggles that work well for them. (We suggest the speedo vanquisher)

Water. The swimmers are working hard. Please be sure they bring their water to keep on the deck during practice.

Behavior. We are a swim TEAM. Having a good attitude and trying your best is the main expectation. I know our swimmers are tired and distracted right now but we still need to try our best to have a good attitude while at practice. Pay attention to the coaches, try not to play (or fight) with other swimmers in the lane, and try to do the workout to the best of your ability (here's a truth; the coaches are not going to be mad if the swimmer is trying, there is no need to get frustrated).

    Schedule Change

Our Summer Practice Schedule begins NEXT WEEK! Please review the schedule on our website to make sure you are clear on when your swimmer needs to be here.

Please NOTE. There are NO OVERFLOW PRACTICE TIMES on the summer schedule. Please bring your swimmer to practice at the time appropriate for their age group.

This is won't be the last time you hear from me this week. As always, if you have any questions please reach out!

See you at the pool! Here's to the last week of school for many of our swimmers! Finish STRONG y'all!
