Howdy Tsunami Swimmers!

We are just over a month away from starting Meet the Coaches / Evaluations and then PRACTICE starts! We are so excited to get a new year going! 

I would encourage each of you to head over to the website to review the updates. 

Meet the Coaches / Evaluations

The events for Meet the Coaches are set up. This is when we will hand out shirts, caps and evaluate your swimmer to best know which lane they should practice in during their practice time. You will have a chance to allow your swimmer to use our sizing kit to help you order their Team Suit as well. It's a fun time but we also get a lot of important "pre season" stuff done that week. (Please remember to indicate if your swimmer will be attending the Time Trial meet on May 6. If not we will need to go ahead and get their Time Trial times during Evaluations.)

You will be able to order your team suits and fan gear (coming soon). The Team Store is a work in progress but I am updating it often. 

Team Info

I know you are all wondering how many swimmers we will have & the answer is A LOT. 147 Swimmers total so far. (And we are still a month out.) I have already started working through waitlists and will continue to do so as quickly as I am able. 

We still have room for more swimmers; especially in our 5-8 year old group and our 13-18 year old group. We will be moving to our Overflow groups for the 9-12 year old swimmers soon though as our Tu/Th practice for that age group is already full. Again, no reason to panic, we are working on making sure all swimmers are accommodated with a practice time. 

If you have questions about WHICH practice days you signed your swimmer up for please let me know. I am happy to send that information to you.

There are tabs at the top of the page with LOTS of information for you & your swimmers. It's not just a place to sign up for events - but that's important too. New Families - there is lots of information to read over with FAQs, Volunteer Job Descriptions and New Parent Info. Please go check it out! If you have not received your login information or need it reset just let me know. I will send it. 

Please be sure to download the APP as well. You will find that really handy as we get into the season. The login for the app is the same as your website login. 

Time Trial Meet May 6th

Sign ups for the Time Trial Meet are OPEN! I know - so early right. This another way we are hoping to keep it very apparent who will (and who will NOT) be attending the Time Trial meet on May 6th. This will help us use our time efficiently during Evaluations & know better who needs to get those Time Trials done that week. Don't forget to sign up for your volunteer positions as well!

NWAL Certified

Are you interested in becoming an NWAL Certified Official? We would LOVE it if you would consider it! We need Certified Stroke & Turn Officials, Starters and Meet Referees! We also need Certified Clerks of Course and Computers Volunteers! ALL of these positions you can become certified for using the NWAL Certified website: https://www.nwalcertified.com/

It's a lot of information for today. I am generally spending a few hours each week getting ready for the season. If I don't respond to your email right away don't worry, I am probably just busy with my "day job". You can also learn a little more about me on (you guessed it) the website using the "Tsunami Team Info" tab. We are still working on getting all of our coaches hired but the top couple of Coaches listed will be back with you this season!
