Just a few reminders today.

Pool Behavior

Please remember that having additional humans around the pool is very distracting for the swimmers. We really want them to be able to focus on practice as much as possible as our practice times are pretty limited. If they are having extremely distracting goggle problems we will either have them go find their parent for help or we will send them to the goggle box to pick another pair to try. 

If there are siblings hanging out while practice is going please don't let them linger by the side of the pool. The siblings are often eager to play with the equipment or even chat with their sibling that is in practice and again, the coaches really need to try to get the most out of every minute of swim practice we are able to. 

Another risk is a younger sibling accidentally falling in. It's quite distracting for the Lifeguards to have to jump in to save someone, it can take us a bit of time to get focus back after that happens. We really don't need that risk either. 

We are still seeing quite a few swimmers and/or siblings run while on the pool deck also. Please remember, we do not run on the pool deck - even if it is dry. Visitors should also not climb on the walls, tables, chairs or generally anything in the facility except the starting blocks when instructed to do so. 

Last Call for Meet Entries

Meet entries for the swim meet this weekend are due by tomorrow at NOON! Please get those turned in & be sure to sign up for volunteer positions! This meet will only be our team (Navasota has had to forfeit) but we will be able to establish some official times. 

Please be sure to indicate if your swimmer is available for relays! I will run the relays tomorrow afternoon & let the swimmers know if they've been assigned to a relay. It is much easier to opt your swimmer out of relays before this has been done as removing a swimmer from a relay affects the entire relay - not just the one swimmer who needs to be removed. 

If your swimmer still needs to get some time trial times in order to enter this meet tonight is your night! 4:30pm-5pm OR 6:30pm to 7pm. Please email me to let me know you are coming if you haven't done so already. 

Swim Suit Orders

Please remember the swim suit company would like as many orders as possible in by tomorrow! Order those swim suits and team gear if you have not done so already!

Send me their email address & I will get them added! The more the merrier! It's also great to add that extra family member if you are wanting to make sure everyone gets my emails. 

Upcoming events

Picture Day is Friday May 20th! Be on the lookout for the picture folders you will be able to take home to get your picture order ready. There will be a sign up for time slots coming soon as well. We usually try to take our large Team Photo around 5:15pm as well. We will NOT get in the pool that evening. 

Still missing your shirt? 

Please remember we are completely out of Adult Small and Youth Medium. If you still need a shirt for picture day please email me & I can put the shirt in your swimmer's box. 

Lee County swim meet is May 21st. The meet says AT Lee County, but the meet will actually be here at Adamson as well. We have a facility that is better suited for hosting a meet as well as a team that is quite a bit larger than theirs - we have a pretty big impact on any pool we go to visit. ;)

Brenham swim meet is May 28th. This one will be AT Brenham. 

May 30th we will be honoring the Memorial Day holiday. There will be NO practice that day. 

Summer schedule begins May 31st!
