Howdy Tsunami Families!

We are keeping a very close eye on the weather. We will not be able to make a decision about cancelling this evening until we get closer (like within a half an hour of each scheduled evaluation time). I will be sending updates & also text alerts if we need to cancel. If there is thunder, lightning or if the rain gets too heavy for the lifeguards to be able to see the bottom of the pool we will have to cancel the evaluations going on AT THAT TIME. We may still be able to hold some evaluations this evening though - we will just wait & see. 

I will tell you the water temp is approximately 74 degrees & the air temperature is 66 degrees. 74 degree water is going to feel pretty chilly, especially for our smaller swimmers & 66 degrees (with NO sun) will not be sufficient to warm the swimmers up in between swims. If you are concerned about your younger swimmers making the 25 meter requirement to be on the team I am here to tell you these are not the best conditions to ensure success for them. It is NOT fun to try to swim when it's quite this cold. If you would like to go ahead & change your signup for your swimmer's evaluation you can absolutely do that. I have opened up a few more spots later this week and we are working on a solution to be able to open even more spots as well. If your swimmer needs Time Trials & tonight is the ONLY night you can make it we will be here & doing our best to get swimmers in the water as the weather permits. 

That being said, IF I can get more parents to sign up to volunteer during Evaluations later this week I can open some additional spots for swimmers to sign up for evaluations. Please consider signing up if you have time to help. We have not had the chance to get fully staffed up for the season yet & your help will really make a difference.
