Tsunami Updates
Hi Tsunami Family!
So much information to update everyone on today! Please read on...
Water Bottles
It has already gotten very warm here & will only get warmer! Please have your swimmers bring their water bottles to the deck with them to sip on between sets.
Introducing... The Boxes!
Each family will have a file in the boxes that will be put out during each practice. Please check the boxes regularly for information, shirts, ribbons, etc.
Shirts
Many of you have requested shirts. We did run out of many adult sizes but have ordered more & they should be in soon. They will be loaded into the boxes once they are here.
Goggles / Equipment
I've had lots of parents ask what kind of goggles to use & where to get them. A specific form of goggles is not required. The Speedo Vanquisher goggles are very popular & seem to work well for many. They come in youth & adult sizes. Here is a link to a website to order goggles & other equipment, practice suits, etc. if you would like.

Practice Environment
Please remember when you arrive for practice to come to the pavilion at Adamson. We want to allow the previous group time to get off the deck before the next group comes to the pool. This is just to avoid crowding so we can keep our risk level low & hopefully have a complete season.
If you need to speak with a coach please try to do so between practice times. We have a very full team this year & aren't completely staffed with coaches so we really need our attention on the water.
We did our best with evaluations but we have still had some swimmers who may not want to swim. If a swimmer does not want to swim they will likely just be sitting on the swim deck or bleachers. Our coaches cannot force a child to swim if they do not want to. If your swimmer isn't wanting to swim during practice please feel free to email me to talk about this. We can keep encouraging but we cannot make a child swim.
We've had many parents asking if they can bring their swimmers at different times. Our practice sections are VERY full & most are at capacity. We cannot move a swimmer to a different section unless there is an opening in that section. I know that the idea of having sections is a pretty new concept to many of our swim families as well. I am attaching the Section spreadsheet so that you can all verify what days your swimmer should be at practice. You will see that the 4:45pm 9-12 year old section is completely full. I've said it before, our team is VERY big this year. Please try to be understanding as we work through having a really large team on our first year back.
Please note, swimmers in the 5:45pm 9-12 age group; those swimmers will not be swimming in the same lanes as the older age group (13-18). We have set aside 2 lanes for those swimmers so they are not all mixed together. If your younger swimmer is worried about this please put their mind at ease. They will do their own practice, not the practice for the older swimmers.
Time Trial Meet Reminders
Registration for the Time Trial Meet on Saturday closes tomorrow morning at 8am! Please get your swimmer(s) registered & sign up for a job to help with the meet.
Swimmers need to arrive at the pool at 7:15am on Saturday morning to check in.
Warm ups are at 7:45am. Pool is cleared at 8:15am. First event begins at 8:30am.
I will post the heat sheets to the website tomorrow. I will not have an estimated timeline until I close entries & "run the heats".
Remember, if you completed time trials before the meet on Saturday we will need to enter those times by hand. You will not see those times in the system just yet, but they should be in with plenty of time to get your swimmer(s) registered for the next dual meet vs. Lee County!
LOTS of info today! Please let me know if you have any questions!
See you at the pool!
Coach Michelle
