Howdy Tsunamis!

I hope each of you have had a great & safe three day weekend! We are looking forward to getting back to the pool tomorrow!

We had a great meet against LEEC! Lee County was very appreciative of our hospitality. Lee County is a smaller team so our volume alone creates quite an advantage as far as scores go ~ we did win the meet. As the head coach I am VERY appreciative that this team left our pool feeling like it was a good meet and that our team was friendly, helpful and hospitable. Remembering that we are all representatives of College Station I would like to say THANK YOU for being an amazing example of the kind of people we have in our town!

New practice schedule begins this week!

Tuesday (tomorrow) we will begin our morning practices:

8 & Under 8-8:30a.m. 

9-12 8:30-9:15 a.m. 

11-14 9:15-10:15 a.m. 

13+ 10:15-11:45 a.m.

Wednesday we will add in our evening practices:

8 & Under 7-7:45 p.m. 

9-14 7-8 p.m. 

11+ 7-8:30 p.m. 

Wednesday we will also add in our Masters practices (18 & up):

M, W, F   7am-8am

Please make every effort to be at the practice time that is appropriate for your age group. I have already received quite a few requests for swimmers to attend a different practice time because it is felt that the assigned practice time wouldn't be enough work/training. For at least the first week, while we work out the schedule and take some attendance numbers it would really help us to plan for the rest of the season if each swimmer would be at their appropriate session if at all possible. 

This is the largest team we have had in quite a few years so it is quite difficult to predict where our practice volumes will fall out. No one gets an appropriate amount of work in an over crowded pool. 

Entries are open for our meet against Navasota this weekend as well. Entries are still due no later than 11:59pm on Wednesday 5/29! Please get those entries turned in!

Just a reminder of the meet entry process:

* all swimmers must have a time trial time in order to sign up for any event!

* log into your Swimtopia account

* Click on the Meet Entry button under the NAV at COLS button.

* Click on the drop down box that will indicate if the athlete is attending or not attending this meet. This will then allow you to select their events.

* You may select up to THREE individual events.

* Please indicate if your swimmer is available for all relays, early relays only or no relays. This is very important! Please make sure you select what is appropriate for your swimmer here so they are not assigned to relays they cannot or do not want to swim in.

* Be sure to hit SAVE before you leave that page!

* Please be sure to sign up for a JOB (Volunteer position) at the meet if you are able. We still have a lot of spots to fill here!
