Meet Results: COLS at BREN

Well guys, Brenham managed to pull past us this year. The team score was 681 - 660 Brenham over College Station. From a Coaching perspective this meet was still a win in a lot of ways! We only had 83 Athletes at this meet ~ 83 out of 204 Athletes registered on our team. Meets are NOT mandatory, however every swimmer does count & the more we have at the meets the more points we will have!

If you came to practice today then you probably noticed that we are working heavily on Breaststroke. This is a very technically complicated stroke - more than it appears when you are watching an advanced swimmer do it. There are a lot of rules that go along with Breaststroke and we are working on making sure the whole team understands those rules so we can reduce our volume of disqualifications. 

Individual results have been posted to your swimmer's account. Ribbons (except for Personal Best) are in the boxes. I will be running Personal Best ribbons later this week & they will be available soon! I will be posting meet results to the website later this week as well. 

Next Meet: LEEC at COLS

Our next meet is Saturday 5/25 right here at Adamson Lagoon! I KNOW this coming weekend is busy! Memorial Day weekend, kids get out of school, graduations... (I have a senior graduating this weekend, I have family in town, I really do get it.) Meet schedule will be the same as a normal dual meet with the first event starting at 8:30am. Lee County is a smaller team so this meet does go a little faster than some of the others. 

Please remember to RSVP for the meet and then sign your swimmer(s) up for their events. Just a quick reminder of that process: 

* all swimmers must have a time trial time in order to sign up for any event!

* log into your Swimtopia account

* Click on the Meet Entry button under the LEEC at COLS button.

* Click on the drop down box that will indicate if the athlete is attending or not attending this meet. This will then allow you to select their events. 

* You may select up to THREE individual events. 

* Please indicate if your swimmer is available for all relays, early relays only or no relays. This is very important! Please make sure you select what is appropriate for your swimmer here so they are not assigned to relays they cannot or do not want to swim in. 

* Be sure to hit SAVE before you leave that page!

* Please be sure to sign up for a JOB (Volunteer position) at the meet if you are able. We still have a lot of spots to fill here!

* MEET ENTRIES ARE DUE BY 11:59pm WEDNESDAY NIGHT! Please have your entries in on time!
