Howdy Tsunamis!

First of all WEATHER

We are currently out of the pool until 5pm today due to thunder.

THE 4:30pm practice is officially CANCELLED for today.

We also have to make sure the lifeguards can see the bottom of the pool and at this very moment they cannot ~ this could change in 10 minutes though. I am receiving phone calls and texts directly to my cell phone. Please know that I will probably NOT be able to answer all of these individually. There are a couple hundred of you and only 1 of me.

Our WEATHER POLICY is to "wait & see". If I cancel the practice but it clears up in time for our 6:15pm then not only have we missed out on water time but we haven't been able to do the evaluations that need to be done before swimmers are able to sign up for the next dual meet. Conversely, we are often able to start a swim practice at 4:30pm but could be called out for weather by the 5:15pm or 6:15pm practice times. We do not cancel in anticipation of future weather as that too is unfair to our swimmers. If you are not comfortable getting out in this weather then you do not have to; practice is not mandatory just heavily encouraged so we can get the best from each of our swimmers.

I will do my best to update our Tsunami family as the evening progresses. 

Time Trials

At this moment we are still planning on trying to do some time trials this evening, if the weather permits. It definitely could lighten up a bit between now & 6:15pm. It will not warm up though - with the rain and the clouds the water will be more chilly than yesterday.
