Welcome to APRIL ~ THIS is our month! The month everything gets started! Get excited!
Sign ups are still going on! If you are a Tsunami from last year please consider getting those sign ups completed as soon as possible to help us plan for coaching coverage & practices.
Coming up:
Meet the Coaches will be at Adamson Lagoon:
April 15th & 16th from 5p-6:30p for 9 & under
April 17th & 18th from 5p-6:30p for 10 & up
*if you cannot come on the night for your age group or have siblings in different age groups don't worry - just come when you can! You do not have to attend every night of Meet the Coaches, just one time. We will also have suits your swimmer can try on to make sure you order the correct size.
Evaluations will also be at Adamson Lagoon
April 22nd & 23rd for 9 & under
April 24th & 25th for 10 & up
* We will be seeing how your swimmer can swim so we can get them in the correct training group ("lane") when practice begins. If you are unsure if your swimmer can make it across the 25 meter pool unassisted this is a great time to bring them to try & see. This is probably the most important part of Evaluations as all swimmers must be able to swim 25 meters unassisted in order to participate.
* Again, if you cannot come on your assigned night or have swimmers that are in different age groups please come when you can.
* If you know that you will be gone for our first meet, which is our Time Trial meet (5/4/19) this can also be a great time for the Coaching staff to get a head start on this with your swimmer(s).
* If you haven't signed up on-line or need to sign up siblings we will have someone available to help with that during both Meet the Coaches & Evaluations.
Swim Team Preparation will be at Adamson Lagoon April 29th & 30th during your swimmer's regular practice time. This is a great opportunity for the swimmers to get a feel for how practice will go & help us get a jump on our first week of practice. Our first meet is VERY early in the season so these days are also crucial for our adjustment & we encourage everyone who is able to attend.

If you have not done so already & maybe even if you have. Check your swimmer's information, make sure it is all correct. Look around the website; it has our schedule & will continually be updated with information. Order your swimwear & merchandise from the team store. If you see anything that looks off please send me an email ([email protected]).
WE NEED OFFICIALS
Really, we need all volunteers. We will be hosting at Stroke & Turn Certification HERE in College Station on April 13th. If that date does not work for you there are LOTS of other dates available. If you head over to www.nwalcertified.com you can create an account where you will be able to see all available trainings that are currently in the system. This is also being updated continually as we head into the season. Please consider volunteering to be an official. Bridget has offered to get each official their NWAL shirt this year!
