Welcome to the 2018 Summer Swim Season! We are SO excited about this season!

First off we are scheduled to have Swim Evaluations THIS WEEK from 5pm-7pm Monday through Thursday (9 & under M/Tu, 10 & over W/Th). If you are planning on coming to this tonight please note that the water temperature is currently 70-72 degrees. Pools for competitive swimming are kept between 77-82 degrees, so this temperature will feel pretty cold. The air temperature is supposed to be about 79 degrees close to 5pm and drop to 75 degrees as we get closer to 7pm, I would suggest coming as early as you can to take advantage of the sun for warmth for the smaller swimmers as well. 

Also, Time Trials is open for sign up! Please log in & sign up for Time Trials. Remember to sign your swimmer up for ALL INDIVIDUAL EVENTS they are interested in swimming. This is their opportunity to set a time so that they can register for the coming dual meets where they will set their official times. If they do not complete a time trial in an event that they decide to swim later we will have to work it in during practice before they can sign up to swim that event at a Dual. The Time Trial meet also gives us the opportunity for EVERYONE to have a "dry run" for a swim meet. Officials, Timers, Computers, Ready Bench, everyone will be learning at Time Trials. 

We have already identified a couple of problems with our new software. Some swimmers are not being assigned to the proper age group - even though it shows them as the correct age & date of birth. We have also noticed that people are getting a notification of jobs that need volunteers, but when you try to sign up for a job there is nothing there. I have reported BOTH of these issues to Swimtopia & hopefully we will get a resolution soon.
